A courier flies at night past a row of glowing jack-o'-lanterns as a ghost rises ahead.

Sandbox Alpha

BroomRacer

Carry swiftly. Fly unseen.

Hallowmas is on now: race to midnight through lanterns, ghosts and storms on a new course every day. Sandbox mode is out now: race across the Island, the Range and the real Grand Canyon at true scale, in all kinds of weather. Arcade mode is coming soon. A WebGPU game for your browser.

Plays in WebGPU browsers on desktop and on phones in landscape (Alpha); gamepads work on desktop, Android, iPhone and iPad.

Features

You fly a courier's broom through glens, canyons, sea arches and over cloud decks, from a hover to 1,200 m/s on Boost. Brake while turning to power-drift, cut the throttle and gravity takes over, use momentum for loops and hammerheads. Sandbox mode, out now, has free flight across three worlds, including the real Grand Canyon at true scale on desktop, with weather, courses, balloons, daily challenges, holiday events, deliveries and replays.

  • A courier dives toward the Grand Canyon's rim at true scale.

    Three worlds

The Island, the 32 km Range and the real Grand Canyon at true scale (desktop).

  • A courier threads a narrow canyon in the Range.

    Assisted or ACRO flight

Drift, cruise and Boost to 1,200 m/s.

  • A first-person broom flight beside a Highland ridge.

    Chase or first-person

The camera looks where the broom points.

  • A courier flies through course rings over the Range.

    Deliveries and courses

Take Sandbox deliveries or race 12 timed Range courses.

  • A courier flies up to a big cyan balloon over the Range forest at sunset.

    Balloon hunts

Find 30 Island and 100 Range balloons.

  • A low flight over open water beneath summer cumulus clouds.

    Flight replays

Replay three minutes, then export or import a file.

  • A courier follows a river as clear skies turn to a rain storm.

    A world in motion

Changing weather, volumetric clouds, water with wakes, a river, a waterfall and six lochs.

  • A courier collects a glowing Hallowmas lantern at night while a ghost gives chase.

    Hallowmas Night Run

Race to midnight through lanterns and ghosts, on a new course every day.

Under the hood

How the flight and rendering work

How it is built

  • WebGPU only, written in TypeScript with no engine: custom renderer (terrain, vegetation, volumetric clouds, water, motion blur, HDR post chain).
  • A deterministic 120 Hz simulation, the same on every machine, which is what makes replays exact and shareable.
  • Built with AI coding agents under human direction, tested by scripted flights and captures in a real browser.

Development

In this Alpha

Flight

  • Sandbox mode is out now: free flight across three worlds (the Island, the 32 km Range and the real Grand Canyon at true scale, which needs a desktop), with no coins or cops. Assisted holds height in level turns with throttle on; ACRO gives full freedom.
  • Throttle, air brake, power drift, Cruise and limited-fuel Boost to 1,200 m/s. Choose chase or first-person view, Forgiving or Pro collisions; sea fog marks the world edge.

Activities

  • 12 timed Range courses with saved bests; 30 Island balloons and 100 Range balloons across three difficulty tiers; 4 Island and 3 Range Sandbox deliveries.
  • Six weather settings: clear, partly cloudy, overcast, storm with rain, mist and snow.
  • A shared daily challenge with a local streak and copyable share card; ghost links to race a friend's time, without an account or server.
  • Replay the last 3 minutes with orbit, chase or fixed cameras and a flight ribbon; export and import replay files.

Hallowmas event (on now)

  • A night look, 31 giant lanterns on the Island and 100 on the Range, in new places every day, with ghosts that hunt you and storms that roll in with rain, gusts and lightning.
  • Night Run: a new course every day, collecting lanterns in order in a 2:30 race to midnight. A ghost that catches you ends the run; lanterns and the clock survive a crash. Earn up to 3 pumpkins by beating midnight with time to spare, then share a card with your time and deaths for others to beat.

Controls and devices

  • Keyboard and mouse, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch and generic gamepads with analog triggers, and landscape phone touch flight controls. Rebind controls or choose from five templates.
  • About 20 MB to start flying; more streams in while you play.

Coming soon

  • Next up: semi-automated landing and take-off. Press to land or take off; the broom handles the approach or climb, with a faster version for good timing.
  • More of the career: Glenmarket and Brackenkeep, more runs, constables, chase music, more brooms and kit, and a reputation tree.
  • New climbing and vault animations, and townsfolk who walk around.
  • A Novice assist for first-time flyers.
  • Photo mode and clips that save the last 10 seconds.
  • The Brackenreach region, with night runs and the Bellrun.

Arcade career

  • Be Wren in Kirkton of Aldan: 80 buildings and 9 townsfolk. Take 4 delivery runs from 4 quest givers, dodge Sky Cops, earn coins and reputation, and buy brooms and gear.
  • Walk, jog, sprint, climb, mantle, vault, run up walls, catch ledges and slide across roofs. Land and take off in the village or on rooftops; town flying draws Sky Cop attention.
  • Fragile and watched runs, reputation ranks, saves and optional Hardcore: higher pay, but failed runs cost you. Sky Cops can spot, chase and catch you.

WebGPU required. Chrome or Edge 113+ on Windows, macOS or ChromeOS; Chrome 121+ on Android 12+ with Snapdragon or Mali graphics; Safari 26 on iPhone, iPad or Mac; Firefox 141+ on Windows. Samsung Exynos phones and Firefox on Android are not yet supported. Without WebGPU, the game shows a message before downloading anything.

Alpha notes

Expect rough edges; performance varies by GPU. The Grand Canyon needs a desktop; more locations are coming soon. Phones play in landscape (Alpha), with a phone graphics preset chosen automatically. Feedback welcome.
